5 Days 4 Nights Training Conference :- ChiangRai & ChiangMai

Training conferences are pretty dry stuff at best, but when SR Industries run the show, it’s a little bit different. The month of June saw a 31 strong team enjoy a 5 day 4 night training conference in Chiangmai & Chiangrai Thailand. Organised by SR Industried Sdn Bhd, the training conference was help from the 12th of June to the 16th of June this year for 31 people culminating of 29 customers and 2 representatives from the organizers. –sales Mr Yap Siong Lim and Ivan Chang.

 The first destination, Chiang Rai, took up just 1 day with the local tour guide bringing everyone to the regular hot spot that is the stunning white temple at Wat Rong Khoon and then to the Chiang Rai Bazaar Night Market after dinner. The night market is famous among tourists as the centre for shopping. Ending the night at a luxurious 4 star hotel, Grand Vista Hotel. 

The second day saw everyone at the Mae Sai border market and then to Laos via a trail boat. Being the border, the participants had the opportunity to shop and wander along the border trade. The move to Chiang Mai took a break at a Hot Spring before checking in at the hotel followed by Chiang Mai’s Night Bazaar this time round. Once again everyone had the chance to shop till they drop for trinkets and souvenirs at the busy yet entertaining bazaar. 

Given all the travelling of the first two days, day 3 was a true treat. Day 3 involved an Elephant Camp where trained elephants put on a fancy football and painting show, the internet famous Long Neck Village which highlights the local culture of elongated neck ornaments, the Orchid Butterfly Farm and then to a 60 minute Thai Full Body Massage, because they have magical hands over there. Dinner came together with a traditional Thai performance and a Lanna Khantoke meal, very much unattainable outside of Thailand. Thanks to the summer season, temperatures weren’t scorching and everyone could enjoy the sights before wrapping up in the 4 star Dusit Princess Chiang Mai hotel. 

A similarly organised day 4 took everyone up the Moi Suthep mountain to the Wat Phra That temple. Finished in a eye dazzling gold, the temple stands on top of the mountain where it overlooks the entire Chiang Mai in glory. After a healthy lunch and education visit to the paper umbrella making craft at Bor Sang Village, yet another street market awaited them. This time, the Chiang Mai Gate Market which prides itself in having a wide range of affordable and delicious feed. Concluding the night was a Gala dinner by the organisers themselves. 

As with all beautiful holiday, day 5 came too soon. Visting the food haven, Warorot Market was the last stop for ready to eat meals, snacks and a chance to load up on local fresh produce before the flight home to Malaysia.
