Stamford Tyres Malaysia took lucky draw winners to watch Liverpool play at Anfield

The high flying Liverpool FC – the current English Premier League front runners, have been playing some of their best football to date, having been on a winning streak which took them to the top of the standings. In the middle of Liverpool’s winning run last December four grand prize winners of Falken Tyres Malaysia were given a once in a lifetime experience of watching a Liverpool FC home fixture against their long time rival Manchester United played at their world famous Anfield home ground.

The four were the lucky grand prize winners of the ‘Win yourself a trip to Liverpool UK’ contest – an end user promotion organized by Falken Tyres Malaysia beginning in March of last year until August 2018. They were the lucky four who won the lucky draw held at the end of the contest. The trip was sponsored by Stamford Tyres Malaysia and Sumitomo Rubber Asia (Tyre) Pte Ltd.

The 5 day and 2 night trip to Liverpool in the UK departed from KLIA on December 13th for the long flight to Manchester airport; from there they boarded an MPV for the short jaunt to Liverpool. With the eagerly awaited match date scheduled for December 16th the four lucky winners had some time getting used to the local weather as well as some time to experience the many tourist sights and sounds that Liverpool had to offer.

As per their itinerary, the contest winners were taken on the 24hours Hop-on’ and ‘Hop-off’ ride around the city on the City Explorer Open Top Bus Tour. Then they visited the biggest cathedral in all of Britain (and the fifth largest in Europe), they get to travel to the top of tower on the “108 step of Tower Experience” for an unrivalled panoramic view of the entire city from 500ft above sea level.

After that they enjoyed a memorable 50 minute ride on the Mersey Ferry for close up look of the ever-evolving UNESCO world heritage waterfront.

March 16 and the day of the big match, the main event was at hand. They made their way to the world famous Anfield stadium, which was packed to full capacity for the epic encounter against arch rival Manchester United. Indeed it became even more memorable for the contest winners as Liverpool edged out United in an intense world class football match between two of the biggest clubs in world football.
